I’m offering my posters up to other creatives who are interested in the tung-and-cheek copy in the art.

“Sure, I can do that.”

As designers, we are called on to do a million different creative tasks and sometimes that task is a new one. The designer spirit is to rise to the occasion and master each new challenge. We just also need to have a sense of humor about it.

I was recently in a very cool kids store and found a children’s book that had great, simple illustrations and nicely styled typography. I was very impressed. I am naming it, my pick for best Children’s book design. Well done.

These are the signs and to some extent, identities, that we created for them. They were installed today.

 

This is the second tournament I’ve designed this summer. A digital flyer and web registration and poof, a tourney is born.

Here’s a little of the design I’ve done for it so far.

I just love this building in my neighborhood. It heralds the hood with great type and has aged so nicely over the years. Love for my version of this on a tshirt soon.
